Chapter 1[]

In the back of the park. A quiet place where not too many people went. There was a big manor.
It was still a new building with a contemporary vibe. No historical impression about it at all.
Enkidu: (I'm sure most of the people would think it was some kind of art museum, judging from the exterior…)
The entrance was built majestically. I went inside. Upon entering, there was a hand-written sign.
Enkidu: (Amnesia's victory celebration beyond here. See you out on the lawn!)
I was wondering what they called me here for…
(Victory party… I heard that they love celebrations. I did have a feeling it was about this…)
The party was about the big battle with the Bankikai. It was to celebrate our efforts during the victory.
Enkidu: It's not like I don't like them, but… I just can't understand this part of them…
Maybe you need to do things like this if you're in an organization. But they had no need to call for me.
It's like calling a clown to a funeral. I clearly didn't belong.
Enkidu: (Although I did say that to them… I'm going to assume the planner of this event was solely Paradox.)
Red and white handmade flowers decorated the board, but there was a big gap in between, and the bottom half didn't have many flowers. To put frankly… A very sloppily made decoration.
Enkidu: (You could clearly tell that Paradox got bored in the middle…)
Although I haven't known them too long, just looking at this, you could tell the gist of the people in the group.
If that punctual, perfectionist operations officer had lent her a hand in this, it wouldn't have gotten this way.
I passed by that sloppy sign and followed directions heading for the yard. I could immediately tell where the venue was.
The sun had come down and there was lighting set up outside. It stood out more than other areas, and there was no way you would miss it.
Enkidu: They sure made it into a big thing…
There were tables aligned all through the yard, and each table was overflowing with food.
Enkidu: Are the people gathering here planning to eat this much? How many have they invited…?
There didn't seem to be many people.
It was ten minutes before the start time, but the place still felt nearly empty.
Enkidu: (My impression of the members of Amnesia was that they seemed to love these kinds of parties.)
(But it also seemed like there were many non-punctual people…)
Although there weren't many around, I looked to see who was here. Most of them were having peaceful conversations. Some of them seem to already be drunk.
Everyone was dressed in their usual clothing. Most of them weren't in formal attire. Those who were must have been the staff at the venue.
Enkidu: (We're dealing with the bad guys here. I guess they wouldn't worry much about clothing.)
When I noticed that, I felt a little relieved, and laughed. I couldn't do formal clothing, either.
Enkidu: And… The actual person who invited everyone, Paradox, is nowhere to be found. Where is she…
With as few people as are here, there's no way that flashy woman wouldn't stand out….
She gathered people together, made them wait, and would later arrive feeling full of herself. That seemed like a thing she would do. Maybe I could kill time in the back.
Enkidu: Even the strategic officer, who surprisingly volunteered that he would make an appearance, wasn't around. I guess you can't blame these greedy people.
That woman is one thing. But it's hard to believe the officer overslept as well…
Or maybe there was another reason.
I was sure there were other things they needed to do. But with no details as to why they were absent. In the end, I was unsure how they were able to function.
-----[]

I was troubled, clearly unused to this type of gathering.
I walked around to look for Paradox. Maybe I should ask the waiter.
Since they planned this party, I figured it would be good to eat, but unfortunately I wasn't that hungry.
Enkidu: (If I force myself to eat, then I'll become fat. It would put me at a disadvantage during battle…)
Or, so I thought, before I saw the drumsticks placed on a tray in front of me. The waiter offered it to me, so I couldn't help but accept.
I figured I'd get hungry eventually, so I decided to take one. Since this was a party I'm sure you would have to hold one of these at some point.
I walked around. A few people saw me and approached me.
They mentioned the battle against the Bankikai, saying I was a distinguished member… Saying all of these words to compliment me.
Enkidu: (I was just there. I didn't really do anything.)
I guess it would be too much to say I felt guilty, but I did feel a little awkward. Although I don't feel bad for having someone compliment me.
Enkidu: (..Although they're part of the group, I don't know most of their names and faces. There was no way I could pretend to have fun talking with them…)
I didn't sense much strength from them, and I was not interested. I tried my best to not be rude, and made the bare minimum small talk before moving on.
Enkidu: Sorry… I'm being summoned.
I left the group and started to look for the problem-makers again.
Enkidu: (I have to be cordial and pay my respects to most of them. I suppose I have to respect the higher-ups to do all of that…)
Such thoughts as I continued my search. This venue wasn't all that big. I finished my rounds quickly.
Enkidu: (Seems like they're not around here.)
Unfortunately, no matter how much I walked around, I couldn't find the one that invited me here.
The venue was lit and I circled around it. I walked towards the plant garden that usually did not get light at night, but I didn't even sense anyone around there.
Enkidu: (You'd better not tell me those bastards forgot about today…)
But considering them, it was a possibility.
Even the officer being pulled around by Paradox, there are times where he's a little off.
Enkidu: (And besides, I'm sure they wouldn't care whether I came here or not.)
I just needed them to know I honored their invitation by attending. It might be best to not worry about it, and just drink alone here.
But they claimed that we needed to talk, so they may be upset if I just ate and left.
Especially, that woman. She would be so annoying about it.
Enkidu: (God, this is so troublesome…)
(Under these conditions, during this time. Why do we have to talk, all three of us…?)
(We're going to be talking about something important. Why wasn't Greed brought into it? What was the officer plotting without him…?)
No matter how many problems there were. The weight he held in being in this organization was significant.
Enkidu: (Greed doesn't look to be the type to have a broken heart and run from everything. Are they turning their backs on him…? What's the point of talking without him…)
(I guess for now the topic would be what we'll do without Greed around.)
It was pointless for me to try and speculate on the situation. I won't know until I ask directly.
I ran out of ideas and looked at my surroundings. I saw there was a window in the manor that was lit.
Enkidu: They aren't inside the manor, are they…?
(There are so many bugs outside. That's something she'd say. There's a chance that she's resting somewhere else…)
I can do one last search and check the manor. If they're not there, I can just eat and leave. I've done my part.
I checked the passerby, making sure they weren't among them. I had no need to rush. I would take an evening stroll over.
Enkidu: (I'm… going to have the meat in my hand soon…)
-----[]

I left the place from earlier and reached the front entrance of the manor. I heard a familiar voice resounding in echoes.
???: Hey Enkidu! What are you doing there? Why don't you come here. You'll get bitten by bugs outside.
There was no mistake. That voice belonged to Paradox.
Just as I thought, she was in the manor. One half of the great door was opened, and she motioned for me to come over.
Enkidu: Heh… I knew it.
I couldn't help but laugh at how accurate my guess was. I suppose it wasn't a surprise, given that I'm sharp and she's simple-minded.
Enkidu: So there you are. Let me walk on over.
Just earlier, I was getting annoyed and thinking of leaving. But now that I had encountered the boss, I couldn't ignore her.
I think she told me to hurry up. Paradox mouthed something as she walked off, but the big door creaking made it hard to hear.
Enkidu: (She lacks patience. If I were to make her wait even a little, she'll walk off on her own, disappear, and cause more problems…)
I should go after her so I don't lose her…
-----[]

I pushed opened the door and walked into the manor. When I entered, I saw Paradox standing nearby in the grand hall.
Enkidu: Paradox. I had looked all over for you…
I felt a little annoyance and a bit of fatigue. I wonder if she caught it.
Hilda: Sure, sure, let's save that for later. Let's go.
She absolutely did not catch it.
As soon as Paradox saw me, she turned around and started to walk. She was wearing tall heels. She wasn't walking too fast. I don't think she'd leave me behind.
We went up the stairs and to the back of the room. The light in the hallway was dim, and mixed with the silence, gave off a slightly eerie feeling.
It was creepy… but if it's this quiet, I don't have to worry about losing her. If something were to be hiding, I'd know. In fact, I feel safer because I didn't have to worry about being attacked.
Hilda: We're here!
I stopped walking, and Paradox pointed to a room.
The door was slightly larger than the others. It was also decorated as such.
Enkidu: (She sure chose an elegant room. That is just like her…)
I shook my head, unsurprised.
Paradox opened the door and slipped inside.
I followed her in.
Chapter 2[]

The room I was taken to was a westernized room. The light was dim. The furnishing was polished and its dull reflection was beautiful.
The shelves inside had bottles of western alcohol lined together.
Hilda: Go ahead. Sit anywhere!
Paradox drifted onto a sofa and urged me to sit.
Just to be sure, I went around the room once, and sat across from her.
Hilda: You do drink, don't you? This is beautiful, and has such a delicious looking design. Why don't you drink some?
She chose a bottle from the collection and poured it into a glass before waiting for my reply.
Enkidu: …
(Considering her personality, I figured this would happen…)
On the other hand, Paradox seemed to be drinking ordinary water.
Enkidu: (What the… She doesn't drink alcohol? She doesn't look as if she doesn't. Either that, or she drank too much as is taking a break.)
Her mystery deepened, but whether or not she drank didn't matter.
The question was whether or not I should drink what she gave me. That was something I should consider.
Hilda: All right, then. Let's have a toast! Cheers!
Enkidu: Ahh…
She lifted the glass up to her chest and then she took a sip.
Enkidu: (It smells good. But I don't know much about western alcohol.)
Hilda: So much happened in the battle the other day. It was rather easy, but so much had happened. Say, Enkidu. What's wrong? Are you angry?
I wasn't angry. Maybe my face in drinking the alcohol made it look as though I was.
Enkidu: No, I'm not… Anyway, the staff officer said he had something to say. Is it just you and me here…?
Drinking one-on-one. This is beyond unexpected, and rather suspicious.
Hilda: What? Is that a problem? Oh, I know! You're blushing. You're a lot more adorable than you look.
Enkidu: Heh… If we never talked to one another before, I might have been tricked by your looks.
This woman is beautiful when she keeps her mouth shut. I must admit that much.
But when she opened that loud mouth of hers, her value dropped. Her stupidity unfortunately seeps through. As a result, I don't know which I prefer…
Hilda: What is with that know-it-all face? You're thinking ill of me, aren't you? How annoying! So you are mad, aren't you?
Enkidu: No… I'm just shaking my head. I'm my usual self.
You're mad, aren't you? Aren't you? To have someone repeat that over and over does get me annoyed. She needs to realize that…
Hilda: Oh! I know! You're mad that I took the battle against Ogre the other day, aren't you? Next time we see him, I'll give him to you. So don't be mad!
Enkidu: …
Now I really wanted to yell at her. She's making me see how narrow-minded and diminutive I am…
A battle against that man…
Just like Ogre, to follow through with what you believe in until the end. That doesn't happen all the time.
Especially under the Night where people with cavalier volition gather. To them this is another way to experience fun…
Enkidu: (For this woman, a battle with your life on the line, and a battle for fun were likely no different. But I couldn't agree…)
Hilda: Then why don't you go play outside with Gordeau? He's rather powerful, so that's enough for you, isn't it? Oh, that's right. Gordeau not here now. Then Chaos. How about Chaos?
I'm going to hold back the urge to shove that bottle into that blabbering mouth… and explain instead.
Enkidu: In a battle…
Hilda: Yes?
Enkidu: There's… a crucial time frame.
Hilda: Time frame?
Enkidu: Yes. Greed. The Harvester, Gordeau. He possesses an extraordinary Vessel.
But… under current conditions, no matter how much you promise to battle with your life on the line, the truth is too far.
Hilda: Hm? What's that…? I know Gordeau is being a coward at the moment. So, are you saying he has to be enraged in order to go all out?
Enkidu: …To put it roughly, that would be the case. But it's not about becoming enraged. Anger sometimes causes you to be weaker.
Hilda: Hm…? What? You're making things difficult. A powerful person is powerful, no matter what he circumstances. Well anyways, I'll let you have the next prey, so don't be so mad.
Enkidu: (A powerful person is powerful no matter what the situation… That is true. Maybe that's what she means.)
(For those who want to perfect the art of war, to find an opponent worth risking your life for… You can't find too many of those…)
(Greed. I must give him time and wait for him to come back. He is serious about protecting others. I think no matter how much I challenge him, it'll be futile at this point.)
In order to get him serious, he needs to step away from here and become the enemy. That would be the condition for fighting him in a serious manner.
Enkidu: Heh… All right, I got it. Next time, you be sure to give him to me. If I don't fight a powerful person, I'll get so bored I'll dry up. I don't think I can endure that before the last bit of fun.
The last bit of fun being you all.
Hilda: Huh? Last bit of fun? As in… the strawberry on a shortcake?
Enkidu: Don't mind me… You wouldn't understand this world. Forget it…
We were done talking and I drank another sip. The taste of western alcohol is so complicated.
I was just wondering on what to do with the meat I had in my hand. There was a knock on the door.
The door opened and a person walked in. Walking in without an approval means it's a close comrade.
Finally, the last actor has made an appearance…
Chaos: Sorry about that. Gordeau wouldn't wake up…
It was the staff officer, Chaos.
Though he said he was late, the time of the meeting was actually scheduled for now.
Hilda: Whaaaat? He's still lounging? Ugh. Should I go over and slap him?
Chaos: Come on. What resolution are you expecting in slapping him? Things will only get complicated, so please refrain.
She stood up, clearly irked. It seemed she really would go over to slap Greed when the officer stopped her.
Chaos: Well, he isn't as depressed anymore, but he's often in a daze. Lost in thought, perhaps. He's sensitive right now. I want you to give him more time.
He coaxed her as he sat at the open seat to my side.
Enkidu: He's not a horse. You can't just hit a dejected person and think he'll move on. All we can do is wait for him to recover.
Chaos: Yes. I'm sure Gordeau would appreciate that…
Hilda: Hmph… Really, what a hassle. So, what would you like to drink, Chaos? What about this one? It's this lovely blue thing…
Paradox asked the officer, but just like me, she didn't wait for him to respond and just poured.
Chaos: Stop, you foolish woman… Well… If I only choose what I know, I will never encounter anything new. This is an opportunity for a new experience…
Hilda: Isn't it? Here you go!
The blue liquid made me lose the urge to drink, just looking at it. I would have broken if that was poured into my glass.
This officer may have a much stronger heart than I thought…
Hilda: Well now that we're all here, let's have another toast!
The officer checked out the glass and looked as though he regretted it. We toasted.
Afterwards, he looked as though he had tasted the worst thing imaginable, and regretted it even more.
After exchanging pleasantries, the officer stood and started to speak about why we had gathered here.
Chaos: So, about the battle against Ogre from the Bankikai the other day. You both did a good job.
Hilda: Yes, nice work!
Enkidu: Yes…
Chaos: About that. I wanted to reflect on our improvements from this battle and discuss our future.
I feel bad for throwinng this grand celebration. But don't you think it's best we do this before we forget?
Enkidu: Is that talk… appropriate with just us here?
I questioned Greed's absence.
Chaos: Yes. The answer is "yes," because it was a situation we couldn't help.
Enkidu: I see. I don't question that alone. But…
If we're going to discuss this future, you don't need me here. It's something for upper-management to decide. There's no point in having a newcomer like me here…
Chaos: Don't say that. Our group is expanding, so we need to increase our top members' numbers as well. We need you to participate in these types of meeting more often.
Enkidu: Top…? Don't make me laugh…
Chaos: Yes. I know you're going to say it's not you.
Enkidu: That is correct.
I was only in this for the battles, so I had never considered being at the top of this organization.
Chaos: Even if it's not for you, we cannot argue your abilities. There is no way we would not consider your war potential in the future.
We're not asking you to think about plans for leading anyone. You can continue to focus only on your battles. That's your job. But when we go in for the job, we want you to fight as one of us.
We're not saying you're going to be Gordeau's replacement, but… we don't know what will happen with him.
Enkidu: Heh… There's no way I could fill the position he left. Whether it's for fighting or not. This is a burden on my soul…
Chaos: You're too modest. Anyone can tell you're an elite fighter. But let's discuss this matter further another day.
Hilda: I understand that Gordeau isn't here today. But is it really only me and Enkidu today? We're not going to talk to the others?
Paradox seemed to think talk about the future should involve many others as well.
Chaos: We don't need to discuss that. What I would like to discuss is something only you two need to worry about.
The others aren't at that level yet.
Hilda: I see.
Enkidu: You really are dragging this out…
The officer stood up apologetically. He walked around us slowly and continued. As if he were a professor lecturing.
Chaos: Currently there are only three of us. It would have been ideal if Gordeau were here, as well. But first, the three of us need to be in the know.
Before I go on… Hilda, is there anything you want to say about what happened, or the future?
Hilda: Hmm… Don't you think there's nothing to say at this point?
Paradox spoke, twirling her hair around her fingers.
Hilda: While it was troublesome, we were able to defeat Bankikai. I couldn't imagine anyone wanting to trifle with us at this point.
Enkidu: (Although it was a cocky statement, she was right. Amnesia was plenty powerful already.)
(No other enemies stood around us. If anyone, it would be the biggest group, Licht Kreis. But they're too large of an organization to consider. We can't face them at our level.)
(Even at a personal level, it would be Re-birth discussion. We don't even know if it exists. It's pointless to think about whether we could challenge them now.)
Hilda: We've fought with plenty of rising powers lately, haven't we? Among them, Bankikai was the best.
Well… I guess there were few others on my radar. But the rising power in our vicinity has been taken care of.
Chaos: That is a valid opinion.
Hilda: And it's not as if we need to make such an effort to defeat others. I feel much too lazy for that…
If you're going to ask about what we should do as Amnesia, why don't you just say anything at all, and call it a day? It's so tiring having to think of this, you know?
And besides…
She crossed her legs again and laughed, with a conniving expression as if she was about to tell us a secret.
Hilda: I'm going to become a Re-birth. There is still limitless EXS within me. This organization is simply my means of becoming a Re-birth…
Chaos: Right. I understand that's your wish. So, about that… You see, from a power perspective, I knew we would defeat the Bankikai.
Aside from Ogre's power, there was nothing else that was uncertain. If it were a power issue, you would win, Hilda. And it seemed it was largely headed in that direction.
Hilda: Of course♪
Enkidu: Don't be too proud. We were lucky that we were able to defeat him early on.
Amnesia was formed earlier than they were. The enemy was still inexperienced. That is the only reason you won. It isn't something to be proud of.
In my opinion… Yes. If you had waited one more month, if they had one or two more key members… Victory would not have been assured.
Hilda: …You are quite chatty when it comes to fighting.
Oh. Is that so…
Chaos: Yes, well he is completely right. We did form earlier. We also had the luck of having the right members by coincidence.
But… luck was also one of your skills. That's why I won't dismiss this victory. Tactics-wise, this would have been a loss, and if all we had was luck, I wouldn't have supported the attack.
I would never have made a sloppy assessment on the assumption that no matter their numbers, Hilda would have defeated them. That would have been an abhorrent prediction.
Returning to the topic… As Hilda said, we have settled the battle of the rising powers.
From this point on, we should not worry about acquiring power. As the champions, it would not be wise to move too frequently.
However… You see… This time there was a major incident…
His expression was stern. A look that didn't fit him, as he was always smirking with confidence.
It was the conversation we had been avoiding. The core of today's discussion.
Enkidu: That…
Chaos: Yes. What happened to Roger… was unfortunate.
Hilda: Hmph…
The moment Roger was brought up, the atmosphere froze.
For me, I barely knew him. We barely spoke. I guess I could say I have no emotions for him.
I was just a person who saw his final moments. And for that, I do have a sense of compassion.
Hilda: Hmph… Can we not talk about that? I don't care about that idiot…
Paradox downed her drink.
Enkidu: (Her acquaintance had turned into a Void and disappeared from this world. I'm sure she must have felt some sorrow.)
Hilda: He was an idiot… but I will avenge him. Licht Kreis and Wagner… We should defeat them, no?
Chaos: Yes… That is the least we can do. But it's impossible to defeat all of Licht Kreis. We just need to send our retort.
This incident, the existence of the Void falling. There's a concern that Licht Kreis's security will strengthen. There is also the issue with Gordeau, so we need to be even more careful.
Hilda: Right. I'm more upset at Gordeau, though. That bastard feels responsible all on his own…
It's Roger's fault that he was swallowed by the manifestation's power. Rather, it was a horrible accident. What's the point in feeling guilty over this?
I'm going to tell you now. If I ever end up that way, you must finish me off without hesitation. And even after you do so, don't feel guilty.
Paradox spoke her words confidently.
I wonder if it was out of determination, or if her emotions were coming through.
Chaos: Yes. We understand that is the case for you. Don't worry, we will not hesitate if that happens. The only thing I'd be worried about is whether I could really defeat you should it happen.
Hilda: What…? You could at least hesitate just a little.
The officer explained he'd feel sorry for her beastly appearance and would not want to extinguish her resolve.
Enkidu: (Heh… They're bickering at each other as always. Shows that they're close.)
Paradox seemed to pout from his insensitivity. She puffed out her cheeks and began nibbling at the straw in her drink.
Chaos: *Sigh*… I apologize that the story was derailed by stupidity. If an incident like this one was a result of voluntary movement, I'm sure Gordeau wouldn't have felt as guilty.
His guilt stems from his casual invitation. Had Gordeau not invited Roger, he would not have come to that Night.
As for Roger's end, it would have been up to Gordeau to do it. But in his contemplation, he hesitated, and someone else finished the job. That is probably why he's even more upset.
Hilda: Well, I guess I could understand that…
The officer looked at Paradox with mixed feelings. To see her playing with the straw made it seem like she was a child being scolded.
Chaos: Hey, I'm serious here. Stop pouting and listen.
Hilda: Yes, yes, fine. I'll listen…
Although she still looked a little upset, Paradox straightened up and listened to what the officer had to say.
Chaos: So, to summarize…
There are two things I would like to mention. Their roots are the same, but…
1. You are forbidden to take another's life.
2. In order to prevent people from falling into the Void, everyone aside from Hilda is banned from becoming a Re-birth.
Hilda: Whaaaat…?
Chaos: The former, we've always been saying, and I'm sure you understand. but the new rule is the latter. It's to prevent someone from going near the Abyss and getting swallowed.
Now that we have become the strongest, I'm sure we'll have more members. I want each one of us to follow this. Understood?
Hilda: Okaaay.
Enkidu: Right…
Chaos: The root of these issues is the same. Death during the Hollow Night. It is a contradiction brought about by interference of reality. I would like you to check on this once more.
The main point of today's discussion begins here…
The officer let out a big sigh and continued.
Chaos: In actuality, the Hollow Night is full of fantasies. There are too many unknowns. This includes my speculation, but to prevent danger, I only ask that you listen and consider it.
He was very careful with his words.
Chaos: First off, no matter how intense of a battle we may face, we've always been avoiding the worst, killing or be killed. I've been persistently telling the both of you, correct?
Enkidu: Right…
Don't kill.
When I first met him and joined Amnesia. That was the first thing he made me agree to.
Those who possessed the manifestation had vitality of intense magnitude. They became the furthest from death. As a result, it was difficult to end their lives.
Enkidu: (I do appreciate the idea of battling with all my might, without worrying about killing people…)
Chaos: We In-births have the power to maintain our existences in this world with our EXS.
Once you die, you can no longer exist. The power of manifestation was the primordial power of wanting to exist in this world.
Chaos: Although it may not have been an ordinary death, this time such a thing has happened. It wasn't a case of someone killing someone else. So it may be a special case.
For Roger to have fallen to the Void and disappeared… There is a concern that related issues may cause a ripple effect.
He looked at both of us and continued.
Chaos: An ability we can't read, and the people who have been lost to it. Their deaths in the Night may prompt action from reality during daylight hours.
That'll mean our positions as In-births will be in danger. Worst case, we might experience something similar to the witch hunts of the Middle Ages.
The officer gave an ironic laugh. It may be overthinking things, but it could be a possibility.
Chaos: That's why it's acceptable to test out our powers, but by nothing more than simply fighting.
It is the same concept of obtaining a secret weapon. If the purpose becomes taking another's life, then it's not an ability, but rather murder…
That is the warped reality we are dealing with, and a phenomenon we should avoid. You understand that much, correct?
Hilda: Warp? Phenomenon…?
Does she not understand it…?
Enkidu: We should not be using these powers to break anything. Once the damage is discovered, how would you explain it? It would be best to avoid that trouble to begin with.
Hilda: Ahhh, I understand now. Why didn't you just say so?
Chaos: I've been saying that… To break… In this case, it would be a person. What do you think? It would be troublesome, no?
Enkidu: You're right… I understand the reasoning against killing. But there's one small thing I would deny is all that…
Chaos: I'm sure you would. You seem to be a difficult one. So, what is it?
Enkidu: Even if you don't intend on killing our opponents, I have no intention of playing around, simply to compete with everyone… This is a serious fight, with both parties' lives and honor on the line.
As long as we are crossing fists, it is a matter of respect. I'm sure many would not prepare themselves for death in a war. But there are some people like myself who wish to risk their lives.
That's all I want to say…
Chaos: I see… It's something a martial artist aiming for the top would think. Of course I can understand your rationale.
But even then, it wouldn't change our rule against killing. But it's not a definitive. We must consider situational accidents.
The manifestation is an intensified body. It would be hard to kill. So I'm saying when the outcome is set and the opponent can't stand, end it there.
Enkidu: …
Chaos: You wouldn't dare to think to do any more, would you?
At the end of the battle, you may not be able to help if death occurs. You should at least not go in with murder in mind. How about it?
Enkidu: Heh… That's fine, then.
Hilda: That's so confusing… Well, I'll trust each person to make the right decision. Amnesia's goal is to display amazing power while having fun. I dislike the notion of anything otherwise.
Chaos: Right… Well at the end of the day we're going to have the individual make the responsible decision.
The Hollow Night isn't an independent alternate universe. It's just an extension of this world. I just don't want you two to forget that.
Enkidu: So the front and back are united… Right beyond the Night is the land of death. The ripples you make will be transmitted to the world. Something like that.
Chaos: Exactly. When something happens, I don't want my name to be regarded as a criminal's. Why don't we live quiet lives?
Hilda: I wouldn't like to be a real criminal.
Chaos: Using magic to disguise oneself and steal ancient artifacts… that is for those who seek fantasy and freedom, but all that ended in the 20th century.
The 21st century fantasy must be more intellectual and abide by rules.
Hilda: What…? There's no freedom in that. Maybe you're overthinking this.
Chaos: Obviously. Overthinking is my job. I'm thinking far ahead to an impossible worst-case scenario. Sometimes I wonder if I'm writing a children's novel.
But even if we don't meet that terrible outcome, it would be a good counter-measure against getting in similar situations.
Hilda: Well, you have a point. Specifically in regards to disappearances. What on earth would I tell the authorities?
Enkidu: The power of manifestation affecting the real world. It was something I considered, but I had looked the other way…
And it's something we could think on, but never find a solution for.
Chaos: Exactly. We are known as outlaws who use their abilities, but it's all for negotiations and an outward appearance.
In actuality we don't need to take risky action as outlaws. We don't need to do pointless things with no returns. Rather, we mustn't. This is what tonight is about.
Hilda: I see…
Paradox didn't seem satisfied with that as she poured more into her empty glass.
Chaos: What is it, Hilda? You don't seem satisfied.
Hilda: So, what about them…? Licht Kreis. They seem to be doing whatever they please. That risk you talked about? They seem to have more regulations and are so easily killed.
Paradox muttered to herself.
The officer and I looked at one another.
Chaos: Ah, you noticed… Pretty sharp, given that it's you.
Hilda: Now, what exactly do you take me for?
Chaos: Excuse me. I'm commending you.
Hilda: Then it should sound more like praise. So…? Do you think they could make all of those problems disappear because they have money and power?
Chaos: That's a possibility. Licht Kreis has history. They may have multiple groups acting behind the scenes. They also have a front as a charitable institution.
But let's set aside that theory for now. A member of Licht Kreis immediately killed off the Void. That could only suggest one thing…
You don't need to say anything. We understand the gist of it.
Hilda: One?! Whaaat. What is it?
Enkidu: …
The officer previously mentioned that those who fell to the Void were simply swallowed by the EXS, but there's a potential that they could be resurrected.
Enkidu: (This must have been something everyone, Greed included, must have thought of…)
Excepting Paradox, that is.
Enkidu: That there's no hope for recovery for those who fell to the Void… right?
Hilda: Oh…
Chaos: Right… I assume that is correct. Which means the more problem it causes, the greater the casualties. So they could have killed him quickly out of pity.
Considering that, sending him to the other side could not be helped. We can't just make the Licht Kreis the bad guys.
I told that to Gordeau repeatedly, and it seems like he understood. But that's more of the reason why he's upset at himself for not being able to carry out the deed himself…
Hilda: Wow… you understand your dear beloved so well!
Chaos: What are you speaking of, you fossil…
-----[]
Chaos: Well, it took a long while, but that's all I have to say. It's good to enjoy your abilities, but don't overdo it.
As the ones on top, I want you all to be careful of that. If we go too far, then reality will come after us. We cannot win against the group called society.
Enkidu: Strength comes in different forms, doesn't it…
Hilda: Well, it was confusing towards the end… But basically, our threats are empty when it comes to death. That's what we've been doing all along.
Chaos: Yes, exactly. It's not that difficult. Honestly, I'm only worried about you two when it comes to actually killing someone.
Hilda: My. Of course, I will kill if I have to.
Chaos: It doesn't sound like you're making a joke… Stop it. Well, I'm done for the night. Is there anything else?
Our conversation ended, and the officer seemed to have gotten thirsty as he took the glass in front of him.
But he saw the color of the liquid, and must have remembered, so he refrained from drinking.
Enkidu: (Anything else…)
I'm only looking for powerful opponents. There's nothing I would want to ask…
Enkidu: How's Greed doing? I guess I shouldn't ask if he's all right…
When will he be at his best? When can he fight? That's all I needed to know.
Chaos: Oh, don't worry about Gordeau. He still seems to be down, but nothing will happen.
Enkidu: I see. That's a relief.
Chaos: But that's no reason for you to ask him to fight you now, or cheer him up by saying he'll feel better if he fights. Understood?
Enkidu: I see… Well, that's unfortunate.
Chaos: It's true that he needs to move around and have distractions. But it's best for Gordeau to step away from us and the Night.
He can relax and collect his thoughts. He did leave us for now.
I'll think of a rehabilitation plan before the next Night. For now, we'll have him step down from his official position. We'll say he's going to return to us as a mercenary.
Hilda: We're really going to make him a mercenary? So what, were going to pay him to fight?
Chaos: We are his regulars at his bar. Let's just say he'll be working for us to pay that off.
Hilda: Ohhh. That's a good idea. Let's do that!
Chaos: Enki, if you're worried, why don't you go to his bar sometime?
Enkidu: A bar, huh? That's not my scene. I'd reconsider if he served good food…
It seemed like the talk was over.
There wasn't anything else. Nothing left to discuss. All that was left was to eat and drink before leaving.
Enkidu: (Still… Chaos sure talks a lot.)
Paradox is emotional. He seems to be forcing reason into the organization to make it work.
Enkidu: (If you consider that… They're a good pair.)
They have their strengths, and fill in the areas they each lack. Without that, organizations could not survive.. To fight internally was detrimental. Direction was important.
Hilda: Enkidu, did you really get all that? I didn't whatsoever…
Chaos: …
Enkidu: Yeah… I understood.
The officer just spoke to all of our thoughts regarding that incident. It was his warning. If we were going to use our powers, we needed to be responsible and careful.
In a sense, that would apply to you the most.
Hilda: That's fine, then. I have high hopes for you. I know that was a bit much for your first time, but I'm looking forward to spending more time with you!
She's right. She picked me up under that Night. Not much time had passed.
Enkidu: High hopes…? But you don't even need me. I'm just going to look for powerful enemies under the Night.
Hilda: Yes, yes. All you need to do is go wild under the name of Amnesia. Carry the flag of fear and destroy everyone you meet.
Enkidu: Right. I don't need you to tell me that…
Because that was my own goal.
Enkidu: Forget that, Paradox. The promise you made earlier. That you'd let me fight a strong one… You'd best not forget that promise…
Hilda: What…? You're still talking about that? Your brains must be made of pure muscle. Chaos… Why don't you fight him?
Chaos: Ah… You're in a surprisingly good mood today, Hilda. You seem to get along with Enki.
Enkidu: Get along? Us…?
On what is he basing this conclusion? Maybe it was the opposite. I guess it's natural to assume she's that bad with everyone else.
Enkidu: This woman… Her abilities are immense, and she doesn't deal with the weak. She hasn't accepted me, but the fact that I possess power.
Hilda: Ahhh. I think you're right there. I am surprisingly fond of you. Aside from the part where you don't speak.
Chaos: You don't speak… so it's pretty much all of Enki.
Enkidu: Heh… That's just like her.
Chaos: How did you two meet, anyway? You don't look the type to have mutual hobbies.
Hilda: What do you mean where? I scouted him when I spotted him under the Night. Unlike everyone, I was rather surprised.
Chaos: Surprised…? About what?
Hilda: You see… Despite being under the Night A man that has no power of manifestation was just fighting about on his own.
Chaos: No power…? Just punching and kicking?
Paradox wasn't painting the picture too well, but I guess if you saw me fight under the Night, everyone would describe me as such.
Hilda: And he looked like a fit for Amnesia. I immediately scouted him then. My number-one draft.
Chaos: I didn't know we had a draft system. This is the first I've heard of it…
Enki. What do you mean you don't have the power of manifestation? Your ability. I know it's something you shouldn't be sharing with just anyone, but I wish to hear about it.
Enkidu: Right… I don't mind. You probably don't really sense it since it's not the Night right now, but I barely have any power of manifestation.
To say I have none would be false.. It's just very low. My limit is a manifestation the size of an orb. That's all the power I have.
The beast that lived within me. I needed to break that chain first…
Enkidu: In terms of having special powers, that's the extent of it. A ferocious body as an In-birth. I have received enough blessings because of it.
But even if the power of manifestation is little, if I gather it in one point and punch… it usually works out.
Chaos: I see… That's interesting. So basically, you're saying that you're fighting others with only your martial arts abilities.. No wonder Hilda likes you so much. You're eccentric.
Enkidu: Yes… I guess so… Whether or not you have powers, the true nature of fighting doesn't change.
It was just a matter of having surprising magic.
Chaos: Wow… In a certain sense, the powers of manifestation are special powers. Would that mean there's a massive part that relies on the physical…? That's really interesting.
Enkidu: We could test it out if you want. But unfortunately, the manifestation is weak under this Night. But I would like to show you. How about it…?
Chaos: Oh, come now… Please. I'm not a fighter. I'm not interested in that.
Enkidu: I don't sense a warrior's spirit in you. But you look like you're hiding your fangs…
This staff officer. He wasn't just hiding his power. He was hiding a trump card of sorts.
There is a strong sense from the book he carries. I have heard rumors of his powers before. But, I'll pretend I don't know about them here.
Hilda: Say, Chaos. It seems like he already knows. Why don't you show him?
Chaos: You two… I suppose martial artists see through everything when it comes to fighting. I thought it was a joke when people said you couldn't hide your aura.
It's not like I'm hiding my powers, despite your being a comrade. I could fight to a certain extent if I put my mind to it.
Hilda: Indeed! He's Bloody Chaos. He destroyed a few hundred people and was drenched in blood. You were a legendary warrior, weren't you? Heh, heh…
Chaos: You. Quiet.
Hilda: Hehe… *Giggle*… Aww, it's so funny…
She took the glass in her hand up to her face. Paradox twirled the ice in her glass and laughed.
It may not be the truth, but likely an inside joke they share.
Chaos: So… I'm being humble, but my powers are weak as well. To the point where I can't do anything alone.
Enkidu: Alone, huh…
Chaos: Yes. Alone. And more than anything, physical labor isn't my thing. I'm going to refrain.
Enkidu: Yeah, it seems like it. I'm sure when the time comes, that power will surface. I look forward for that day…
Chaos: *Sigh*. I pray that day won't come. Well, a lot has happened, but I hope you will continue with us, Enki.
Enkidu: Right…
After he finished saying his piece, he seemed a little tired. He leaned back lazily on the sofa.
Chaos: Phew… Ever since we defeated the Bankikai, there are many people wanting to join Amnesia. It'd be nice to have capable people on staff, but it's a challenge.
He started to joke about whether he should administer an entrance test.
Hilda: Well, we won't be doing something so uptight! If that person wants to be a member, it's fine if they are. Otherwise, it's a pain.
The upper level is the only portion that matters. So, was there anyone interesting? Let me see.
Chaos: There's nothing I could show you since I haven't received a resume or anything. But there was one interesting one… I guess she's a witch?
Hilda: A witch?
Chaos: She's dressed all in black and calls herself the Black Monger. She seemed interesting. I'm… not good with that type, but I think you'd like her Hilda.
Hilda: Oh, really? Then I'd like to meet her.
Chaos: Well, I'm sure you'll meet her eventually. That class of eerie manifestation is rare…
Hilda: Oh? Then I look forward to it!
Chaos: There were a few more I wanted to approach. But whether I want them to fight with us will depend on later… There were many who would be problematic enemies, but dangerous allies.
Hilda: That seems interesting! They're all members!
Chaos: I suppose you would need a capricious mind like yours. I too am usually accepting, but to take in a powerful member with little thought is risky. The Witch is one of those cases.
Enkidu: Sounds interesting. I would like to administer the entrance exam.
Chaos: But if I let you do it, wouldn't they all be defeated…?
Enkidu: Heh, heh… Then that is all they are made of…
Crowds of people who would trouble the staff officer of the ultimate group… This could only be fun.
I guess there are still many potential adversaries out there…
-----[]
We spoke casually for a while longer.
The staff officer cut in.
Chaos: Oh, sorry. If there's nothing else to talk about, we can end things here. If we keep this up, it'll be rather long.
Enkidu: The precision of information. It's important to prevent discussion from going on for too long…
Random conversations would be problematic. Thought that wouldn't change whether I was there or not…
Hilda: But your talks are always so serious and long.
Chaos: That actually makes me feel better that you say that.
I need to hurry and get back to take care of Gordeau. I feel like if I leave him be, he'd eat nothing nutritious.
The officer stood up slowly. He was mumbling something about the menu for dinner.
Hilda: You really are acting like a mother…
Chaos: Hm? What are you getting at, Hilda? Well I'll be going. Let's meet again on the next Night.
He said his goodbyes and got up, leaving without waiting for a response.
Hilda: Yes, yes. When it comes to that man, you're so faithful. Ugh… Let's call it a night too, then.. Enkidu, you can return home, too.
Enkidu: Yeah, I'll be sure to remember to keep the rules for Amnesia in mind. I will see you some other Night.
Hilda: Yesss, so long… Ah!
Enkidu: Hm…?
It seemed Paradox had something to say.
Enkidu: What is it…?
Hilda: Say, Enkidu. You remember the party downstairs? Be sure to eat something nutritious before you leave.
Enkidu: What's gotten into you… I guess I will take you up on your offer.
Hilda: I ordered so much, but too few people came by…
Enkidu: Yeah. I checked it out before I came in, but seems like not too many were there.
Hilda: If you think about it, we don't have many friends, do we? Maybe because I defeated them all? No one is coming….
Enkidu: Y-You may be right…
Is this something to laugh about…? I couldn't find the words to respond to Paradox's self-depreciating joke.
Enkidu: …There may not be many here now, but Amnesia is the strongest. I suppose we'll grow in number later…
Hilda: Right? I prepared all this, but I must have I jumped the gun.
She crossed her arms, finger on her lip, and seemed upset.
Hilda: You don't eat too nutritiously usually, do you? Martial artists I bet eat wild birds and leaves for training. I worry about your well being.
Enkidu: (Wild birds and leaves… How does she view martial artists…?)
I think she's mistaken us with mountain priests.
Enkidu: (I guess when I do go into the mountains I eat edible wild plants…)
But telling her what martial artists do is probably not worth my time. I could tell it wouldn't become anything. So I'm not going to say anything…
Enkidu: …Overeating will cause a negative impact on one's physique. But it is a feast. It would be rude to go home without partaking I will eat a little before I return.
The chicken I had taken earlier had turned into bones during the long talk.
Hilda: Yes. Be sure to eat lots.
Enkidu: Yeah… But I guess you seem to be eating too much. It looks like your clothes are getting tight on you.
Hilda: H-Hey! That's not funny! That's how these clothes were designed! I mean, yes, I have been eating a lot since the victory, but this is nothing…
Paradox denied it fervently, but she began to check her arms and stomach. I guess she was a little self-conscious.
Enkidu: Heh… You're always so tough on me, this was just subtle revenge. Just consider that and be sure to let me off the hook next time…
Hilda: What?! What the hell! Were you lying?! Argh, just hurry up and go home already! I'm going to start training! And it's not because you told me to, okay?!
Paradox pushed me out of the room and slammed the door shut.
Hilda: Argh! I'm totally fine now!
I could hear Paradox howling from outside the room. That made me feel a little better.
Chapter 3[]

It was a castle where I stayed for only one night. I left the manor where the party was still going on.
On my way out, I swiftly ate the food provided.
As per Paradox's wish from earlier… Well more like an order, I forced myself to eat a little more than I would usually.
Enkidu: (That was pretty good. I should have savored it more…)
Well, now going home is all that is left for me…
I looked back at the manor and thought.
Enkidu: …What interesting people.
Paradox, the staff officer Chaos, and Greed…
If the power of manifestation didn't reside in my body, I would have never met them. All people who would have walked down different paths. If you considered that, fate was a fun thing.
Enkidu: (I don't like them as people… Well, it's not a matter of like or dislike, but our directions aren't aligned.)
If it's just the power of manifestation, Paradox was limitless. The officer was hiding both this fangs and his claws… And Greed, who would most likely get over this and come back stronger.
Enkidu: They're strong…
(Although I may have missed on the opportunity to fight Ogre, if it was in exchange for the opportunity to engage in war, I suppose it'll be fun being with them for a little while…)
And I could also probably have hopes for those who will join. I just needed to wait it out and look for opportunities to discover what each of them were made of.
Enkidu: (The organization called Amnesia. I guess it was right for me to go along with the invitation, although it was on a whim. I should just wait for the opportunity to leave so I could go on fighting.)
Huh…?
As I was in deep thought, I noticed that someone was behind me. There stood the Staff Officer that should have gone home earlier.
He seemed exhausted. What happened in this short time…?
Chaos: Wh-What are you doing here Enki… You haven't gone home yet…? *Grunt*…
Enkidu: Yeah, I was deep in thought as I was heading home. I guess when I'm looking at this manor, it gets my thoughts going.
Chaos: A-A different environment will give you new points of views… I assume your home is traditionally Japanese. It's important to think and change your point of view.
Enkidu: And what's the matter with you? I thought you left to go take care of Greed…?
Chaos: I-I was planning on it. But then I got caught by someone… I was chatting with them and this is how I ended up.
The officer didn't show himself in front of people much. As a result when there's a chance, I can easily see that people would want to come in contact with him.
Chaos: And then before I knew it, Gordeau called me. He never picks up people's calls but he calls sometimes, I guess…
But then he said he was heading out to work. So rushing home was pointless. We ended up having a long talk.
Enkidu: I see.
Chaos: Well, I figured that it's not bad to exchange information with people I normally don't talk to. And as I was taking my time, at the very end, I got caught by Hilda. Now look at me.
Enkidu: Ah, the food…
Chaos: Yes. She made me eat so much.
Enkidu: You too, eh…
Chaos: Yeah… Of course it was delicoius but the amount… *Burp*.
It's true. That crazy amount. Was she trying to make us help her get rid of it?
Chaos: That idiot… She should know just by looking at me that I don't eat much.
But she kept saying it's a waste. It's bad luck to not eat it. I haven't heard anyone say that since my grandmother…
Enkidu: Heh. I guess there's a side to her we don't know. Interesting.
Chaos: I mean of course I don't want to waste food. But clearly she chose the wrong person to give food to. I don't think I can look at meat for a while…
He rubbed his stomach and looked pained I could clearly envision Paradox half-forcing him to eat.
Chaos: Hey. You seem to be empty-handed. Why don't you take some home…? She made me take a lot of things that would keep. She told me to make Gordeau eat some, too… *Burp*…
He handed me a wrapped box. There was barely a place to hold it. It was so heavy.
Even if you were to give it to Greed, considering how long it'd last I'd say it's too much.
I guess I should lend him a hand or he'd die…
Enkidu: O-Okay… Then the meat. I will take the meat you never want to see again.
Chaos: Th-Thanks… Can you not say the word, though? Just hearing the name makes me remember it, and I feel so… Phew. Hold on a minute.
The officer kneeled down and started to unwrap things.
Chaos: Oh, right. I never got to ask you. The reason why you want Gordeau… Wait. That's a weird way to ask. It feels off…
Enkidu: …What are you talking about?
Maybe because he's so intelligent, sometimes I don't follow him.
Chaos: Oh, you see. Is there a reason behind you wanting to fight strong people and waiting for chances for that? Ah, that's it.
I know there is no reason for a martial artist to aim to be strong. So I'm not asking why you want to become strong… But I guess for this case, it's what made you want to start.
I want to know considering the future for Amnesia. Of course, it could be the extent you want to tell me.
This is obviously before you obtained the power of EXS, before becoming an In-birth. It must have been a long time ago, right? It's not like you could train your body so quickly.
Enkidu: Of course.
Chaos: Rather than just being curious, I want to know so we can maintain a harmonious relationship.
I guess I wouldn't want to step on a landmine, you know? I hate being inefficient.
Enkidu: That is very efficient of you.
Chaos: And besides, if the individual purpose matches with what the group wants, we could help one another and form a really good relationship. That's why I want to know. So, how about it?
He handed me one of the tupperwares filled with food. I guess I had no option but to take this back by hand…
I accepted the heavy box and went into thinking.
Enkidu: (My reason for wanting to fight powerful people… Come to think of it, I never told him.)
It's so vague. It's hard to think he'd get it even if I told him.
Enkidu: Hmm… I guess I'm trying to atone.
Chaos: Atone…? What do you mean by that? How does fighting a strong person relate to atonement?
Enkidu: It has to do with my name, Enkidu.
Chaos: "To cut sins"… That's true. I was curious about your name. Those who commmitted sins would be cut by that blade and be spared from going to hell… or something like that?
Basically it means a death penalty. But being cut was painful and the person's sins would disappear. There was no way that would happen…
Enkidu: Yeah. Something like that.
(Although I find myself pathetic for clinging onto such uncertainty…)
Chaos: …So does that make you the person who judges the sinners? Or are you the one being cut? The one who commited the crime who will be judged?
Enkidu: I am not the one who judges. Nor did I commit any crime that warrants judgment.
I guess in being strong, I will judge my own sinful body. That seems so contradictory…
Chaos: I see… I won't touch on it. But I would like more information.
Enkidu: …The sin my body holds is walking down the path of martial arts with doubts from an immature soul. That is my crime and shame.
A long time ago, I had a powerful mentor. But an illness took him away.
Chaos: Whoa… Is that something you could share more about?
Then he tried to slip me another tupperware. It was packed to the brim and felt even heavier…
Enkidu: It's fine. It was a long time ago. But my master died, but I started to wonder why I was still alive. Although I was immature, it was a big burden that I still can't shake off.
My doubts casted a haze over my eyes, and became a chain across my wrists. I aimed just to become stronger and soaked myself in fighting.
Chaos: So your powerful master fell, and you're looking for the reason why you're still alive. So you thought you'd find an answer to your doubts by becoming stronger?
Enkidu: Yeah… That would be it. I'm a lost one. Just like Greed is now. I'm glad it was you. I'm not good at explaining things.
Chaos: I see… That's is a doubt fitting for a martial artist. This is a hard subject for an outsider like me to comment on. It's probably better that I don't ask more than that…
Enkidu: Yeah… At the end of the day it's something I have to deal with. It's hard to describe it with words…
Chaos: Yeah. An issue within yourself. I think that's fine. What I can say is one thing. Defeating me won't clear the doubts in your soul, so don't attack me. That's about it.
Enkidu: Heh… You think so? I wouldn't know until I try… The claws and fangs you hid. Someday I will get them out of you.
Chaos: Come on… Can you not look excited? Ugh… This is why I dislike ruffians…
Enkidu: Heh, heh, heh. Say what you will. You just said you wanted to help relieve the doubts I feel.
Chaos: I really want to take that part back…
All right. I understand your position. As long as you're with Amnesia you won't get bored. Until your doubts are cleared, feel free to swing your fists around.
Enkidu: Yeah. I look forward to it…
Chaos: Yeah. Since it would be odd for us to go home together, let's part ways here. I need to deliver this to Gordeau. *Erp*…
He finds issue in going home with a man like me, but then he is going now to another man's place. I guess I won't say anything…
Chaos: You be sure to eat that. It tastes good… but there's simply too much of it…
Enkidu: I know. But we can't have it go to waste, either. It's way more extravagant than my usual simple food. I will enjoy it. Later Staff Officer, I'll see you around on another Night…
Chaos: Right. Later.
With that, the officer hurried off. Before his back melted into the darkness, I too began to walk.
Enkidu: (God, he is so hard to read…)
Under that intelligent mask of his, he looks like he's always plotting something.
Are all staff officers like him? But I guess if you wear your heart on your sleeve, you couldn't manage the job.
Enkidu: (I can't imagine it since all I'm good for is swinging my fists…)
I tightened my fists.
Enkidu: (I've defeated, dozens, hundreds, thousands of people with my hands. And I'm sure I will continue this. It won't ever end…)
(The Hollow Night. And everyone's desires. I think I won't be able to see anything else, let alone the Abyss.)
(But that's fine. All I need to do is win battles. Anything else will get me further from the truth.)
(Along with the haze that engulfs me and fills me with doubt, I will be sure to clear this Night. And when it clears, I'm sure there will be something else waiting for me.)
Being lured to the Night. Its answers. This may be an eternal question.
Enkidu: (I guess this is fine. Later, Master…)
Will you laugh at me when you see me…?
I can't see you yet… Since I am still immature.
Enkidu: (Ahh… Although I may be doubtful now, all I can do is continue to swing my fists.)
