UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH[]

Prologue[]

Byakuya: Eh…? So this is the "Hollow Night" you're so gung-ho on seeing? It's actually pretty crowded. I wasn't expecting that…

Here I was, expecting a bunch of really scary guys to suddenly jump on us, but it looks like we don't have to worry about a thing.

Tsukuyomi: Byakuya… Do not let your guard down. We are trying to make it to the Abyss, which lies at the center of the "Night." Everyone seeking power is drawn to it like moths to a flame.

Byakuya: Hahaha. You make it sound like some kind of trap. That doesn't sound too "fly" if you ask me…

Tsukuyomi: …That was pathetic, even for you. I hope that soft brain of yours doesn't cost us both our lives. I need you to hold up your end of the bargain… To help me achieve my goal.

If things somehow go our way… And a window of opportunity opens… Then we should be able to see that child through the doors of the Abyss.

Byakuya: Um, I've asked before… What are you after? I don't understand any of it, other than your wanting to find "that child." You dragged me out on such a dangerous night, so you owe me an explanation.

Tsukuyomi: Ah. I've answered that question a great many times already… You have no need to know. You are simply my shield, here to protect me. That is the entirety of our relationship.

Byakuya: Aww… It's kind of hard to do a job when there's no real motivation, you know?

Tsukuyomi: Oh? And since when did a master have to explain herself to her subject? Working with me was going to put you in a subservient position… You did know that, didn't you?

Byakuya: Yeah, yeah, I knew what I was signing up for. We should head out now, so we don't have to prolong this awkward conversation… For my dear sister… For her desires. Right.

Tsukuyomi: Perfect… All you need to do is wield your claws on my behalf… Overthinking things will only serve to dull your edge by hesitation.

Byakuya… I'm counting on you. You're all I have left now…

Byakuya: Got it, Sis. Just leave everything to me. I'll rip apart anyone who gets in your way. My manifestation was a gift from you, and exists solely to do your bidding.

Stage 3[]

Hyde: Well, you two look suspicious… What the hell are you doing out here? And in your school uniforms, too…

Tsukuyomi: *Chuckle* What an amusing child. We could just as well say the same thing about you. Hm? What is it, Byakuya?

Byakuya: Now, Sis, why don't you just leave this one to me? I'd hate to waste everyone's time, so I'll try to talk with him and settle things without violence…

Tsukuyomi: …?

(Tsukuyomi leaves)

Byakuya: So there you have it, kid… I'll listen to what you have to say. GO!

Hyde: So I'm stuck dealing with you now, huh? You look like a pain in the ass… Not that I wanted to talk to your hot friend or anything.

And where do you get off calling me a kid?! You look a hell of a lot younger than I do. Aren't you in like, middle school or something?

Byakuya: Hahaha. I'm sure you've figured it out by now, but my sister here doesn't have access to EXS at the moment. So if you're going to fight, it'll have to be with me. Why don't we have a chat?

Hyde: I figured as much… Now that I'm an honest-to-God In-birth, I can sense that you're really freakin' powerful.

Byakuya: You're making me blush. Even if the compliments are coming from someone as weak as you.

Hyde: You son of a--!

Byakuya: She is interested in finding someone, but I'm not. Anyone who'd potentially hurt her is going to get crushed by me.

Hyde: I thought you looked pretty mellow, but that explains it… Well, I can take whatever you dish out. Can't let a punk like you walk all over me. I hope you're ready, because I'm going to beat your ass!

Byakuya: Okay. Just… hold up for a second, okay?

(Byakuya walks over to Tsukuyomi's direction)

Hyde: Stop trying to turn this back into a conversation… Why do you have to be such a pain?

(Byakuya approaches Tsukuyomi)

Tsukuyomi:

Byakuya: Thanks for your patience. We've come to an agreement.

It looks like we're going to have to fight. But don't worry, I'll be able to beat this guy, no problem!

Tsukuyomi: …Unbelievable. But you're the one fighting, so it really makes no difference to me. I doubt you'll be defeated by someone this weak.

And there you have it. My apologies, little Insulator boy. I really did want to discuss a few things with you, but… it seems like this is goodbye.

Hyde (off-screen): I didn't catch that! Seriously, didn't hear a word. Why don't you come a little closer and speak up? No need to be such a stranger, you know?!

Stage 6[]

Byakuya: Hm… What's this? Something's coming this way…

Tsukuyomi: What's gotten into you, Byakuya… I thought I told you not to make people uneasy for no reason.

Byakuya: Ahahaha. That's not exactly true now. You know… It's kind of hard to explain. Hey, you there. I know you're there, so you might as well stop hiding and come out.

Ah, Sis? I suggest you get out of the way.

(Tsukuyomi flees as Merkava appears)

Merkava: I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that you saw through to my true form.

Tsukuyomi (off-screen): …!

Byakuya: Eh.

Merkava: But that body of yours… Or would it be your stomach? What lurks inside you, now that is a surprise. As for you, young woman… I feel something strange resonating from you. Are you a broken Vessel?

Tsukuyomi: *Sigh*

Byakuya: Speaking of surprises… You sure sprung one on me. It's an odd sensation to feel your thoughts transmitted into my mind.

Tsukuyomi: Indeed… I convinced myself that nothing we encountered here would surprise me, but… Here is a Void with a higher level of awareness, communicating to us via telepathy…

Merkava: You, young woman, you seem incredibly relaxed, given the circumstances. This bestial form isn't just for show, so I appreciate that you do not scream in terror when looking at me.

Byakuya: That's nice. Now, let's get down to business. Why were you spying on us in the first place?

Merkava: Hmm… Very well. Firstly, to your female companion… Your flesh and manifestation are both weak, yet deep inside of you I can sense that you possess unimaginable strength.

As for you, child… You're a lot more similar to me than you appear… I can tell… You have the same scent that I do. This beast's fangs long to sink into your flesh.

Byakuya: No way…! Do I really stink that bad?

Tsukuyomi:

Merkava: I thought I'd even try striking a deal with you… Maybe we could settle this with just a single bite. Yes… A gentleman's proposal.

Tsukuyomi: As expected of one of such matters… Yes, a single bite is rather restrained. Although, judging by the size of your fangs, you could probably swallow a human whole.

All right, Byakuya, while this is an admittedly strange opponent, please defeat him as you have everyone else. But… be careful. This monster's power seems limitless.

Byakuya: Wow, that's new… You're actually concerned about me? That's all the motivation I need. As for you; you're not the only one curious about how things "taste." A Void who's almost human…Your flavor must be… unique.

Merkava: Wonderful. It appears that we have a deal then. Eat, or be eaten… A very primal and barbaric way to settle matters.

Byakuya: Right? That's what makes it so interesting.

Stage 9[]

Tsukuyomi: I sense the presence of a very powerful manifestation nearby… We must be getting closer to the Abyss.

Byakuya: Eh? You can still sense things like that even though your Vessel's smashed? Is it like being able to smell something disguesting even though your nose is stuffed?

Tsukuyomi: …You really could have come up with a better analogy, you know? But yes, even I can sense this much.

Byakuya: At least we kind of know where we are now. Now all we have to do is plunge into the depths and defeat Paradox. That was your goal for tonight, right? Or rather, one step in achieving your goal….

Tsukuyomi: It makes my life so much easier when you figure things out on your own. Paradox's powers as an In-birth are incredible. Those who have challenged her were overwhelmed by sheer force.

Byakuya: The way you sounded just now… It was like you were speaking from experience. Have you fought her before? Paradox, I mean.

Tsukuyomi: …No, I've never fought her. Anyway, we'll need to show that stupid woman her stupid power isn't the only force in this stupid world. Oh my, that sounded rather hostile, didn't it?

Byakuya: Ahahaha. Naw, that was great. I love making people like that pay. Let's find out who the bigger idiot is in this picture.

(Just then, a bespectacled, white-haired young man approaches the siblings)

???: Hold up there. I think you've talked enough trash about the stupid bitch. I mean, she IS still our boss, after all…

Tsukuyomi: And who are you, exactly…?

Chaos: Where are my manners? I am Chaos. I suppose you could consider me one of Paradox's advisors. Though I have to admit, we're very, very far from being friends, or even comrades.

Tsukuyomi: Advisor…? So, I take it you're Amnesia's "Bloody Chaos," then?

Chaos: Yeah, though I have to admit I don't like that name all that much. Now, for my own question. It's your first time here, isn't it? Your attitudes aren't what I'd expect from newcomers.

Tsukuyomi: More or less. I don't really have a name worth mentioning at the moment. More importantly, Mr. Advisor… I assume Paradox is nearby?

Chaos: That's likely a safe assumption. She's probably waiting at the Altar of Light and Darkness just up ahead. But given her capricious nature, she just as well could be off wandering the Night.

…But I don't see how that's any concern of yours. Also, you had the misfortune of running into me. And there's really no place else for you to go.

Tsukuyomi: Oh? You seem excessively belligerent for a mere advisor… Something about you bothers me… For your information, my brother here will be your opponent, not me.

Chaos: I have to confess that it's really unlike me to be this excited… Or my Chaos Code is, anyway. And it's telling me that the two of you are a danger, and shouldn't be allowed to pass. As for you… Byakuya, was it? Your body is… exceptionally intriguing.

Byakuya: Hahahaha. I guess my secret's out. You really are good at your job. Why don't we chat a little before we start beating on each other?

This set of black, super creepy claws… or legs, if it makes you feel better… I call it "Predator." It's my EXS. And I'm about to cut you into pieces with it. Hope you're ready…

Chaos: I see. That is a rather powerful EXS. Have you merged with a Void…? Maybe artificial limbs that have manifested through EXS? It doesn't matter. My Chaos Code will negate the effect of those claws of yours. You'll do fine… as prey.

Byakuya: Think whatever you want. While the talking Void from earlier was pretty interesting, it looks like there's even more fun to be had on this "Night."

Final Stage[]

Tsukuyomi: Paradox is on the other side of this door…

Byakuya: All right then, I'll just go and open it, then. Are you ready, Sis?

Tsukuyomi: You're asking me this now? After we've come all this way? Just hurry up and open it. And if she decides to stand in our way, kill her.

Byakuya: Okay. Well, let's go then, Sis.

(The screen fades to white and a door is heard being opened as the siblings enter the Altar)

Tsukuyomi: …This is the Altar?

(Hilda appears before them)

Hilda: Oh! Allow me to welcome you to the Altar of Light and Darkness. Seeing as how tonight is almost over, I think you two may be my final guests.

Tsukuyomi: That is true. We are going to be the last guests you'll ever see because we're here for your head. But before that, I should greet you properly. It's been a while, hasn't it, Paradox?

Hilda: Been a while…? Have we met before? I've had a number of visitors, though mostly assassins… It's kind of difficult to keep track of all of you, you know?

But if I had to guess, I'd say you were just another sad, pathetic soul I pounded into the ground who came for revenge. That's all right, though, I enjoy these little grudge matches!

Tsukuyomi: I see, so you really don't remember… I've changed quite a bit, too, so I guess it's understandable. But no, we didn't come here tonight because of a grudge.

As for your evil plans, this child here will be putting an end to them all.

(Byakuya steps forward to greet Hilda)

Byakuya: Oh, hey. How's it going?

Hilda: …He might not look all that strong, but the EXS hiding inside of him is… limitless. It's a little ironic, coming from me, but you are seriously creepy, child. Under different circumstances, I think we could've actually been friends.

Byakuya: Oh, I'd normally never turn down the company of a beautiful lady like you, but I have to. Otherwise my sister here would get really angry with me.

Tsukuyomi: Oh, Byakuya… It's not like I put a leash on you or anything. If you really want to go with her, then by all means, please do.

Byakuya: What are you talking about…?! You know I only have eyes for you!

Hilda: Oh please, I don't care what you do. How about I just take both of you on simultaneously? But you, little girl… Your EXS powers are pathetically weak. Are you even able to fight?

Tsukuyomi: …Ah, the irony. Actually, I have no fighting abilities whatsoever. I'm a total non-combatant. But if you enjoy beating the weak and powerless, then be my guest.

Hilda: I love little brats like you! I want to show you the ultimate despair, shatter your heart to pieces, and I'd LOVE to see your face crumble into tears. Now, let's get tonight's main event started, shall we?

Byakuya: Right. Well, I suppose I should put up somewhat of a fight, too. After all, I'd love to see what you're like when you're bawling your eyes out.

Tsukuyomi: Try to put on a good show for me, Byakuya… And show that woman the differences between your strength and hers. Or endless despair. Or Hell on Earth. I'll leave the choice up to you.

Epilogue[]

Byakuya: All right, I think it's time to call it quits. I want to thank you for the delicious meal, though.

So, does it hurt? Like, really bad? I'm sure you realize it now. Given how big the world is, there are a bunch of outlaws like me. Hopefully you've learned your lesson. If not, you'll need to get better if you still want to be the evil one around here.

Although I doubt you'll be able to do much, considering the shape your body is in now.

You might not be able to rest in peace, but I can guarantee that you'll be nice and warm inside my belly. But could you keep the glowing to a minimum…? I don't want to look like a firefly. Hahahahaha.

Tsukuyomi: Amnesia is done for, Paradox. It's all over for you. The name "Predator" was well-fitting.

Byakuya: Well, you've been using me this long… The Night's almost over… What do you want to do now? Do you want to stay here for bit longer?

Tsukuyomi: I think we should wait a little longer, if that's all right? The true guest of honor may still make an appearance.

Byakuya: Same as always, huh? I don't mind, of course… I wouldn't want for you to have any regrets.

Tsukuyomi:

(Time passes, and no one appears through the door to the Abyss)

Byakuya: Um, Sis… Can we go home now? It's almost morning, and I'm getting really sleepy.

Tsukuyomi: I suppose so.

Byakuya:

(With their patience not bearing fruit, the siblings abandon their mission and leave the Altar)

-----[]

Tsukuyomi: *Sigh*

Byakuya: Hey.

…..Strix.

Tsukuyomi: …!

Byakuya: Why don't we just stop it now? Pretending to be siblings and all.

Tsukuyomi: …Your eyes. It's like you're not even trying to hide the lie… But if you find it difficult to continue this charade, then so be it. You were never obligated to stay with me.

But without your help, it's pretty much impossible to do… well, anything really… I am only human, after all. Thank you very much. And I'm sorry for taking advantage of your kindness…

Byakuya: Now wait just a second. Do you really think I'm going to let you walk away scot-free? After forcing me to be under your thumb…

Tsukuyomi: …Hmph. Do whatever you want to me. Right now, I'm not much more than an empty shell. Whether you want my life, or just my body, I have no way of stopping you.

Byakuya: …Not a bad offer. I think I'll take you up on it.

Tsukuyomi:

(Sound of fabric tearing)

Byakuya: I thought so… That scar on your chest. I didn't need to see it to know it was there. I can actually feel my own chest being ripped apart just looking at it.

I wanted to fill that hole in you, and kill the person who did this to you. I'm going to find them, kill them, and devour them!

Tsukuyomi: Don't do that. I received this scar from a dear friend of mine. In return, my carelessness wounded her soul. This mark is payment for that… Pain, disfigurement… Memories that are fading away…

I have no idea where she is or what she's doing now… She once wandered in the shadows, searching for manifestations. I just want to see her again and apologize… To try to make things right again.

Byakuya: So that's your true desire, then…?

Tsukuyomi: Yes. A trivial one, I know… But you're right, it's time to stop pretending we're related. And I'm glad I told you my real reasons for coming here.

Byakuya: *Sigh*...

All right, nevermind. I'm not going to stop pretending to be siblings. After hearing your story, how could I NOT keep going along with it?

Tsukuyomi: Byakuya… You…

Byakuya: That thing on your chest… It's a symbol of some heavy responsibility. If you're saying you can't erase it on your own, I'll just have to keep helping you. With these claws of mine.

You're officially the reincarnation of my sister. I won't let you disappear or anything… Never.

Tsukuyomi: Hmph. You're a strange little man. Suit yourself. But if you're going to continue to follow me around, I suppose I can let you do whatever you want. It'll be irritating, of course, but…

Byakuya: You're far too kind, Sis. Although I'd like to request a few more changes to my working conditions.

UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II SYS:CELES[]

Prologue[]

Byakuya: You can tell, can't you, Sis? The appetizers are finished, and soon the main course will be served. How do you suggest we dig in?

Tsukuyomi: Let's see… In order to get our revenge, we've been cooperating with Amnesia--on paper, at least. But I suppose we're done with them now.

Byakuya: In other words, we can do as we please?

Tsukuyomi: Technically. But this is a critical moment; one that's said to be the end of the world… and if the world ends, we won't be able to settle our debts with Zohar. In that sense, our path is already chosen.

Byakuya: Fine by me. I've already decided that wherever you go, I go. If you don't want the world to end, then I'll stop it from ending.

Personally, though, I wouldn't really mind. Watching the world end together, you and me… Quite romantic, don't you think?

Tsukuyomi: I absolutely refuse to watch the world end with you. Let's go save it at once, if only so I can avoid that.

Byakuya: Alas… I liked the sound of going down in flames together. On the other hand, this way I'll get to spend more time with you, and isn't that even better? Let's get going, Sis.

Tsukuyomi: Yes…

(Recently, the pain from the scar on my chest seems to be getting lighter… Is her EXS weakening? I suppose it's possible that she's already lost her life somewhere…)

(And that might not be all… It might have something to do with the new Vessel that has started to grow inside me. Perhaps time, which was frozen, is starting to thaw and flow once again…)

There's no telling what sort of monsters we'll run into on this final Night. Try to stay focused, Byakuya.

Byakuya: Hey, that doesn't sound like the Sis I know. There's no need to be so worried.

I'll protect you. That's the whole reason I exist, after all…

Stage 3[]

Byakuya: I wonder who that is. An enemy, maybe?

(Vatista approaches them)

Tsukuyomi: It looks like… a little girl…? I don't know… Listen to me, Byakuya: do not let your guard down.

Vatista: (Glance)

Tsukuyomi: (…?)

Vatista: Reaction: minimal. You are quite unusual. Compared to a typical In-Birth, your EXS is rather weak.

Tsukuyomi: And who might you be? Should you be out walking all alone on a Night like this? Granted, it may be foolish of me to judge anyone here by their appearance.

Vatista: (Glance)

Byakuya: (Grin)

Vatista: Reaction: malignant. You are also quite unusual, but in a different way. Compared to a typical In-Birth, your EXS is… distorted. Much like a Void, it appears similar to our originator FLS

Byakuya: Sheesh, you're pretty merciless. You could've sugarcoated that at least a little bit. You could hurt even my feelings that way.

Vatista: I am Vatista, an Autonomic Nerve. There are those called In-Births who cause tears in the Night and those who are born to cull them. Since it is dangerous to allow you to proceed any further, I must eliminate you.

Tsukuyomi: (This is… unfortunate. This girl is a weapon of war--an Autonomic Nerve. I've heard rumors, but I never thought they actually existed.)

Byakuya: You're quite an aggressive young lady, though I don't have any clue what you're saying. You don't look particularly tasty, either… I don't really feel up for the challenge.

Tsukuyomi: Byakuya… Don't be fooled by its appearance. This thing is dangerous. Get rid of her now, before any more of them arrive.

Byakuya: "This thing"? "More of them"? That's no way to talk about a human being.

Tsukuyomi: Exactly. It's no human being. It's a doll, made only to destroy those like us, who were created through the power of the Night. Keep messing around and it will end us.

Byakuya: Oh… I see. So that's why she doesn't look very appetizing. That makes sense. I'll shut up and put her away, then. Dolls belong in their toy boxes…

Stage 6[]

Tsukuyomi: (It's been growing steadily stronger… At first I thought it was my imagination, but now there's no mistaking it: a presence so strong that even I, with a broken Vessel, can feel it…)

(Her presence. She's somewhere close by… No, she was here. I can't quite pinpoint it for sure, but I can tell…)

(Kaguya appears)

Byakuya: …Okay, there's something out there. Stand back, Sis. Let me find out what it is.

Tsukuyomi: From the looks of your outfit, I see you're a member of Licht Kreis. In fact, you're a rather high-ranking officer, if I'm not mistaken.

Kaguya: Oh, please, don't flatter me! I'm only Sixth Executor, mind you.

Tsukuyomi: (Sixth? Could a woman of this caliber really be below the general rank of Fifth? Maybe I misjudged her… Or perhaps not. Nobody's stupid enough to openly reveal their true nature like that…)

I doubt that an organization as large as yours would stay out of a Night like this one. That said, I also doubt you have the time to be chasing down stray dogs like us. Why don't you get back to your mission?

Kaguya: Stray dogs? Now, now, there's no need for such self-depreciation. The one beside you is a fearsome beast, is he not? And you're fearsome enough to tame him. I can't let you go free!

Tsukuyomi: You'd pick a fight with this beast on a Night like this? No matter who comes out on top, both sides would be worn down. That's not what either of us wants tonight, is it?

Kaguya: How astute! Yes, of course, I understand.

Byakuya: Yep. I get it, too.

Tsukuyomi: How about this? We have a common enemy in Aeon, after all. Why don't we declare a temporary truce? Hee hee…

Kaguya: A truce? Now that, I'm afraid I don't understand.

Byakuya: Nope. You've lost me, Sis.

Tsukuyomi: You're right. I'm sorry. I see that I've proposed something completely out of touch with everyone standing here.

Kaguya: Naturally. With no truce, and in order to avoid attrition, there is only one course: the ones more likely to cause harm must admit defeat and surrender without resistance!

Byakuya: Well, I don't mind if you resist a little. You probably won't wear us out that much anyway.

Kaguya: Oh, dear. It appears my threat has been misinterpreted. And here I'd hoped you would just walk away. Perhaps my aura just isn't strong enough.

Tsukuyomi: Be careful, Byakuya. This woman can't be an ordinary Sixth Executor. There's something behind her mask… Hidden claws or cheap tricks.

Byakuya: Yeah, Sis. I know. A smile is the surest sign of dishonesty. Ha ha ha! Ironic, isn't it?

Final Stage[]

Tsukuyomi: Good evening, Kuon the Aeon. My brother Byakuya is here to devour your fate…

Byakuya: Hey, Sis, don't use my name to pick a fight!

Kuon: A girl so weak, I can barely sense her EXS… and a boy whose EXS is so strong, it's as if he's taken hers from her. Of all the people who've come here tonight, you're the most intriguing.

Tsukuyomi: I take it that everyone lying around you are the other visitors, then? …Are they all still alive? I do hope they're only unconscious.

(How many people has he taken down? Needless to say, this man is quite skilled. He'll be dangerous, even with all of Byakuya's power… …Who's that over there? No… No, it can't be…)

Kngh… No… Why… Why is she…?

Byakuya: Hmm? Is something wrong, Sis? Wait, let me guess. Do you recognize that woman lying over there?

Tsukuyomi: I don't know… I'd have to get closer to know for sure, but… Zohar! Zohar, if you can hear me, answer me! Zohar!

Byakuya, please… Defeat this man and save her…

Byakuya: Sis… I think that's the first time I've ever heard you say "please." It's not like you. Stick to ordering me around like you always do! "Devour his soul, Byakuya!" or something.

Those words give me strength. They give me a reason to exist. Now please, order it loud and clear, like you usually do…

Tsukuyomi: Oh, Byakuya. You're so naughty.

Fine. If it's an order you want, it's an order you'll get. See that man standing in front of you, Byakuya? Tear him apart. Devour him. Stop the Immortalize and save the world! That's a piece of cake for you, right?

Byakuya: Now there's a extraordinarily unreasonable order. That's what I'm talking about! I've got chills, Sis… All right. Your word is my command. I've got to take him out.

Kuon: Are you two quite done talking now? I was hoping I'd get to monologue a little, but now it's already almost dawn. Shall we get to it, then?

Epilogue[]

Byakuya: Well, that's that. My powers move at Sis' command. His spirit looks so dark, tough, and unsavory… What's the point of living such a long life if you end up like this?

Tsukuyomi: Zohar?! Zohar, open your eyes! Answer me! Is she breathing? What about her pulse…? There it is! She's alive!

Byakuya: I can feel her EXS. She's alive, all right, but her Vessel is about to be swallowed up… Sorry, Sis. There's not much time for chatting.

(Byakuya stabs Zohar)

Tsukuyomi: Byakuya?! What are you doing--?!

Byakuya: I'll crush her Vessel and consume it. If I do that, she'll lose her power. Then she won't re-emerge as a Wielder for a while.

Once her power is gone, her other personality will go with it, and she won't be possessed anymore. Everything will go back to normal, for the most part. If we're lucky, she won't remember the fight. Ha ha ha.

Tsukuyomi:

Byakuya: And I'll crush your reincarnating Vessel, too… Strix.

Tsukuyomi: …!

(Byakuya stabs Tsukuyomi)

B-Byakuya…

Byakuya: I've told you before. Your memories… The hole in your chest… I'll write over all of it for you. As long as that hole's left in your body, your relationship with her can only go sour.

That wound on your chest isn't something left by a friend anymore. It was left by me… a disgusting, despicable stranger. So you can let go of your grudge against her and start over.

You've fulfilled your purpose, Sis. My job was to get you this far, which means I've fulfilled mine, too. In other words, this is goodbye…

Tsukuyomi: Bya… ku… ya…

-----[]

Tsukuyomi: Later, I woke up on a hospital bed. Byakuya must have carried us there… I'm sure of it.

Zohar was safe. Her Vessel was broken and her powers lost. She said her memories from that day forward were fragmented and hazy.

I told her everything about what happened back then--everything--and apologized. She smiled like she used to and said, "Don't worry about it. It was my fault, really." Our lives went back to the way they were…

…But deep inside, I was missing an important piece.

Ever since that showdown with Aeon during that final Night… I haven't seen him at all.

Really, how much more grief could he possibly cause me? What an annoying little brother.

Just when I thought my search was over, another search begins…
